⭐ Why I Ran This Lake

South Park Lake was one of those lakes I could squeeze in after work. It was nearby, easy to get to, and gave me another opportunity to add a lake to the project without making a whole production out of it.

And honestly? This one was not glamorous. It wasn’t particularly scenic, and the humidity definitely did not make things any better. By the time I finished, I was absolutely drenched.

🏃 The Run

Five laps around South Park Lake brought me to 7.14 miles. It wasn’t my most exciting lake loop, but it got the job done—and sometimes that’s exactly what you need after a workday.

🌅 Scenery Notes

There really isn’t much to say here. South Park Lake isn’t going to win the award for most scenic lake in the project. My husband meeting a frog that let him pick him up was probably more memorable than the scenery!

📝 Notes for Next Time

Not every lake has to be glamorous. Some are destination runs, some are adventures, and some are simply convenient places to get the miles in.

South Park Lake was definitely the latter—and that’s okay
