⭐ Why I Ran This Lake

Was looking for a smaller lake to circle not far from our hotel while attending a comic con in Pittsburgh. Found this little man made lake tucked away near Carnegie Mellon and the University of Pittsburgh.

🏃‍♀️ The Run

Three laps around a paved path circling the lake. The path was in rough shape and probably hadn’t been maintained in several years. My husband sat at the edge as I circled. It looked like college students were walking around. There was a section that smelled pretty badly due to the stagnant water. My husband found a stone that said 1939 on it. I imagine that this was once a very beautiful spot to hang out, but it’s not so much anymore. If someone fixed this place up, it would be very nice.

🌅 Scenery Notes

Wasn’t much to look at. There was graffiti strewn on bridges and algae sitting on stagnant water.

🍽️ Post-Run Fuel

Max & Erma’s — I split nachos with my husband and had lemonade.

🗒️ Notes for Next Time

I wouldn’t run here again unless someone fixes it up. So there likely will not be a next time.
