โญ Why I Ran This Lake

Conesus felt like the logical next step โ€” a Finger Lake that was big enough to feel like an accomplishment, but still manageable for my final long run while training for my 50k in February.

๐Ÿƒ The Run

A complete loop around the lake on quiet country roads. The miles added up, with gentle rolling hills and some beautiful lake views. This was the kind of run where patience mattered โ€” no rushing, just settling in and moving forward.

๐ŸŒ… Scenery Notes

Consistent lake views mixed with farmland and small lakeside homes. Not dramatic, but peaceful and steady โ€” the kind of scenery that has a very โ€œupstate New Yorkโ€ feel throughout.

๐Ÿ—’๏ธ Notes for Next Time

This will be a great option for a training run for my June marathon. Iโ€™d like to hit the 3 Legged Pig for BBQ next time! There were signs on the door saying it was closed until January 30th.

๐Ÿฝ๏ธPost-Run Meal

Refueled at Solitude Brewing Company with the Buffalo Chicken Sammy โ€” exactly what an 18+ mile lake loop calls for. Crispy, filling, and extremely satisfying after a few hours on the roads.
