⭐ Why I Ran This Lake

Green Lake was a last-minute change of plans when a larger lake didn’t come together this weekend. It’s close to home and still fits the intent of this project — running around water, even when circumstances change. Not every lake run needs to be long for the it to feel meaningful.

🏃 The Run

I completed four loops through Yates Park and surrounding residential streets. The paths were snow-covered and icy in places, which required extra attention. Conditions were typical winter footing. The route did not fully hug the shoreline, and about half the run was through residential streets.

🌅 Scenery Notes

Frozen water, bare trees, and muted colors created a calm, reflective atmosphere.

🗒️ Notes for Next Time

This loop would be worth revisiting in warmer weather. Planning a post-run meal nearby would also be a nice addition.
